How does the booking process work?

For online bookings: As soon as we receive your request, we assign the mission to a guide who speaks the desired language. We will send you the confirmation within 48 hours (business days), according to the guides’ availability.

For requests using the booking form: As soon as we receive your request, we will answer any of your queries or wishes. We will assign your request to a guide, according to your desired theme and language. You will then receive the confirmation within 48 hours (business days), according to the guides’ availability.

Where will the meeting point be?

The meeting point will be agreed upon in collaboration with our booking service. We recommend locations that are easily accessible using public transport, in the heart of the town centre or possibly at the reception desk of your hotel in Lausanne.

Will I be able to change the meeting point?

The meeting point can be changed by contacting the guide directly before the start of the tour.

How can I contact the guide to discuss the final details?

We always suggest you contact the guide by phone before the tour. His or her email address and mobile phone number are included in your confirmation.

How do I pay for the tour?

For online bookings: When you fill in the request, we ask you for the details of the credit card to be charged. This credit card will only be charged when the booking is confirmed.

For requests using the booking form: With the booking confirmation, we will send you a “pay by mail” link to pay by credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Please make the payment within 48 hours of receiving the confirmation.

Do I need a receipt or an invoice?

The booking confirmation serves as a receipt/invoice.

How will I recognise the guide at the meeting place?

The guide will carry a backpack or a shoulder bag with the logo of the Lausanne guides and wear a badge with his or her name.

What are the booking deadlines?

To ensure a guide speaking the language of your choice is available, it is best to book as soon as possible. However, we accept last-minute bookings according to our guides’ availability.

Will there be additional costs during the tour?

No additional cost will be charged, as the tours include monuments that offer free admission. The booking service will inform you if there are any public transport costs during the tour.

Please note that if you are staying in a hotel in Lausanne, you will receive the Lausanne Transport Card that enables you to travel free of charge in the town and its surroundings, that is Mobilis zones 11, 12, 15, 16, 18 and 19 (from St. Sulpice to Grandvaux/Epesses at Lavaux).

Are tours accessible to people with reduced mobility or with a disability?

Yes, our tours are aimed at everyone and can be adapted and adjusted. Please inform us when you make the booking request – in the comments field – so that we can adapt the tour to fit your needs.

What is the route taken during the guided tours?

Our tours are designed to discover the must-see attractions of the city centre and give you an overview of the town. However, our “à la carte” tours can be customised according to your needs and interests.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may cancel your guided tour without incurring any fees up to 5 business days before the planned date. Reimbursement shall be made according to the initial payment means.

However, if you cancel within 5 business days of the tour date, no reimbursement is possible.

Does the tour take place despite bad weather/heat waves?

Yes. In the case of heavy rains or too hot weather, we adapt the route slightly to seek refuge in the city’s monuments or the history museum.

Can the tours take place using a private bus?

We do not own any vehicles; however, the guide can organise the tour entirely or partly onboard your own vehicle that guarantees all the safety parameters and is equipped with a microphone.
